One of the most valuable assets of the Sport Karate Museum has long been its History Generals who have supported and inspired generations of karate practitioners for the decades the Museum has led the way in honoring our art and its leaders who pioneered karate in America. The life's blood of our martial arts community has always been investing in its youth who fill our schools and grow the programs into adulthood and, in turn, become the leaders of tomorrow. To preserve the values, traditions, and history of our precious arts the Museum is establishing a link between the rich resources afforded us in our Sport Karate Museum History General members and those young students who meet the requirements of membership in our newly created Sport Karate Museum Cadet Corps to foster access, inspiration, and valuable tools for success in their journey to raising to the level of Adult History Generals and assuming the role of martial arts leaders of tomorrow. Like the Adult History General pages on our Museum website, there will be a History Cadet picture galley featuring these remarkable youths. In the coming weeks, the Museum will publish the criteria for cadet membership and the process of nomination to this unique body of young people. Join us on this journey and together we shall work to ensure a healthy and robust future for Karate in the United States of America.
