The Sport Karate Museum's vision is a story that unfolds before the eyes and senses of oneself, a mystery, a fable, so many stories to be told. An authentic history of sport martial arts and relics, uniforms, belts and documents of the glorious past forty years of a sport that is long overdue on statistics and history ranging from 1946 to the present.

Each house offers a rich history which edifies its readers, uplifts the senses and honors of the practitioner, and inspires young and old alike as we labor as one to preserve the honorable legacy we have been entrusted with as warriors and scholars.

A unique approach to Kata competition. Firstly, those who wish to compete must earn 100 First Place Kata titles minimum just to qualify for entry. The judging of the Kata Wars is done by a board of hand-picked, senior martial artists who are focusing on various specific aspects of the katas presented as well as the competitor's attitude and spirit.

Throughout the 30 years of the Sport Karate Museum's history hundreds of prominent martial artists have been honored for their service and contributions to the martial arts community by joining the ranks of the Sport Karate Museum History Generals rolls. As Professor Gary Lee has always said, "It's all about protecting the history, one warrior at a time."
